Today Child Development students had the opportunity to take a field trip to our local labor and delivery unit at the Meeker Memorial Hospital. Students have been learning about conception, pregnancy and next week labor! Heather explained the birth process, and post birth care for both mom and baby. We learned about the testing that happens to baby post birth, and what to expect when giving birth. Students asked questions about what procedures the hospital is prepared for and how many babies this unit sees in a year. Labor disscussion is not for the weak... Jordan cordinated our trip and administered care to our own queezy kiddos. If you're going to faint the hospital is a great place to be! Thank you to the Meeker Memorial staff for letting us take up your space and time in order to gain real world knowledge in a real world setting from some really cool people! We look forward to a continued partnership with you!
Sincerely, Ms. Rogness
